Perfect Morning Oats. Sometimes I'll be in a steel cut oats mood, so I'll make this or
this. When we have guests over I'll make baked oatmeal, but lately I've been craving
overnight oats and now that strawberries are in season I decided to make strawberry
overnight oats. I think in may be my new favorite!
Preparing overnight oats one or two evenings a week saves time, energy and money!
You can even hit that snooze button once or twice since your breakfast is already to go!
I don't care for cold oats, so I microwave the jar of oats for about 45 seconds to take
the chill off. Then I add a few chopped pecans or walnuts and a dash of almond milk
and breakfast is served! If I'm in a hurry I just pop the jar into my lunch bag and then
enjoy my breakfast at my desk when I get to work. Yum!
What type of fruit do you add to your oats?
Strawberry Overnight Oats
1/2 C rolled oats (I like Bob's Red Mill)
1 tsp. pure maple syrup
2 tsp. Barlean's Flax Chia Coconut Blend
3/4 C unsweetend almond milk
4 strawberries, sliced
chopped pecans or walnut, optional
Combine ingredients into a pint size mason jar.
Stir. Cover with lid or plastic wrap.
Refrigerate overnight.
Enjoy cold or warm in a microwave for 45 seconds.
Add your favorite topping if desired.
Enjoy!
Looks so good! I'm going to make this right now!
ReplyDeleteYay! I hope you like it as much as I do!
