I love eating at Chipotle Mexican Grill, but the location in our college town is always
super busy. The students seem to flock there in droves!
The chicken burrito bowl is my favorite, along with a side of chips and guacamole - yum!
I just love Chipotle guacamole and after doing a little research, I found that they actually
share the recipe for their guacamole right on the Chipotle website! Isn't that nice of them!
I just happened to have the perfect excuse to make homemade guacamole because I
received an awesome 4 'n 1 Avocado Tool and Guac-Lock container with chip tray from
the fine folks at Casabella.
Melissa's Produce also sent a few delicious avocados and some other products for me to try.
I had no choice - guacamole had to be made and devoured :)
The Casabella avocado tool and Guac-Lock container with chip tray are the coolest things
ever! The sharp edge cuts avocados in half with ease, while the flat edge slices avocado
ribbons. The handle is easy to hold while mashing the avocado as well. I've already made
guacamole twice this week!
The Guac-Lock container helps keep guacamole fresh and green, while the container part
works as a serving dish. I love the dividers to separate vegetables from chips and pretzels!
The best part is that the push up mechanism keeps the container looking full, even though
this guacamole won't last long!
Homemade guacamole is perfect for game day! I'm making another batch for the Super
Bowl this weekend. I really don't care who wins, but it's a great excuse to make more guac
and drink cocktails! Who are you cheering for?
Try my Chipotle Inspired Corn Salsa too!
Homemade Guacamole {Chipotle Recipe}
2 ripe avacados (I used Melissa's Produce)
2 tsp. lime juice
1 T cilantro, chopped
1/4 C red onion, finely chopped
1/2 jalapeƱo, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Cut ripe avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the avocado and
place in a medium bowl. Toss and coat with lime juice. Add the salt and
mash until a smooth consistency is achieved.
Fold in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Recipe is from the Chipotle website.
Enjoy!
