I made these Oreo Truffles a couple of weeks ago for my friend Bekka's birthday party and they were a huge hit! Everyone commented on how yummy they were. They are so easy to make and look really pretty on a dessert buffet. I decided to put mine in these adorable mini cupcake liners I bought from Bake It Pretty. Amanda has the cutest baking supplies ~ you should check out her site.
Vanilla Oreo Truffles
1 pkg. Golden Oreos
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
White or Milk Chocolate for dipping
Crush Oreos in a food processor. Add cream cheese and mix until a dough forms.
Roll into balls and freeze for about 15 minutes.
Dip in melted chocolate & decorate as desired. I keep mine in the freezer until I am ready to use them.
Remove from freezer at least one hour before serving.
Wow! yours look so pretty! I have never tried the vanilla version before, but I do LOVE the chocolate ones. Yum!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I can see how everyone just loved these! Love the liners!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought to try them with golden oreos. What a great idea for those who are not fans of chocolate!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I've never tried the golden oreo/white chocolate combo. I'll bet they were delicious!
ReplyDeleteThey sound wicked good, I don't think I've seen truffles made with cream cheese before.
ReplyDeleteOk, think I love you and your mixer. I'm going to do some snooping and get inspired to use mine! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think "Minnie" (my pink Kitchen-Aid mixer) and I will be whipping these up VERY soon!!! How pretty!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo do you serve them frozen? Or do you have to thaw them before serving?
ReplyDeleteLMcBurney ~ You don't serve them frozen, they just keep better that way until you are ready to serve them. Remove them from the freezer at least one hour before serving. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHow precious! I've tried a similar recipe using regular Oreos and milk chocolate, but they look much cuter in white and pink! I also love the polka-dot cups... where did you find those?
ReplyDeleteThese are sooooo adorable! I LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty lookin'! Thanks for the dessert table suggestion. I'm lookin for idea for one. I'm doing a dessert table for my brother's wedding reception, congrats party.

Love them! I can't believe it's that easy!!
ReplyDeleteQuestion. . .I made these for my Mom for Mother's Day, and they were delicious. . .but really ugly. Is there a trick to getting the chocolate on there smoothly?
ReplyDeleteSarah ~ I use a Wilton candy dipping tool to dip them in the melted chocolate. You can get one in the baking section at Michael's. Also make sure you have enough melted chocolate in your bowl so that the truffles are completely covered. Hope this helps :)
ReplyDeleteI have to make these! In fact, I think I'll make them for my husband's birthday in 2 weeks!
