I am fortunate to live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
A valley surrounded by mountains, farms and several vineyards.
So much to see and do!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the White Oak Lavender Farm.
It smells much nicer than most farms around here :)
White Oak Lavender Farm is a family-owned business that grows over 8,000 lavender plants
each year. They are open to the public seven days a week offering tours, lectures, classes, a
petting area and a lavender gift shop that smells heavenly!
Let's take a look around.
So pretty!
The family and staff went out of their way to host a beautiful event and the weather was perfect!
You know how I LOVE mason jars, so this shot was a must!
Lavender margaritas!
Very tasty.
All of the food featured ways to incorporate lavender into the recipe.
Lavender BBQ.
Lavender and Rose Whipping Cream Scones with lavender jelly.
They were delish!
They even offer lavender pepper!
My friend Bekka and I had a great evening networking, touring the grounds
and trying all of the delicious goodies.
White Oak Lavender Farm has the cutest gift shop and it smells amazing!
I felt calm and relaxed as soon as I walked in the doors :)
The farm even offers a petting zoo for the kids.
I'll just give you a sneak peak :)
You'll need to visit yourself to see the rest of the animals.
How about a game of cornhole on the prettiest boards ever!
White Oak Lavender Farm offers "U Pick" for the flower buds during the summer and fall
blooming seasons. The summer "U Pick" is going on right now and you can pick as much lavender
as you like!
I really enjoyed my first visit to the lavender farm and I will definitely be back!
Hope you liked my mini tour.
If you are local or coming to the Shenandoah Valley this summer, the
White Oak Lavender Farm is a must see!
Happy Weekend my friends :)
Note - This is not a sponsored post. I visited the farm on my own and just want to share
my thoughts and photos with you.
