How to Clean Make-Up Brushes
Happy Monday!
How was your weekend?
Mine was good.
I got a lot accomplished, which is always a good feeling.
There's no recipe post today, but since I did a lot of cleaning and organizing
over the weekend, I thought I would share a tip on how to clean your
make-up brushes.
I make a point to clean my make-up brushes once a month and it pays
off because I have had the two Bare Minerals brushes for several years and
they're still in great condition.
It's also a good idea to clean your brushes for the sake of your skin as well.
To clean your make-up brushes pour equal amounts of water
and distilled white vinegar into a glass or mason jar.
I used 1/3 C of warm water and 1/3 C white vinegar.
Add a drop of baby shampoo to the water mixture.
The baby shampoo helps to keep the brushes soft and it cuts down
on the vinegar smell.
Add your brushes to the water and swirl them around.
Check out that dirty water - ewwwww!
After the brushes have soaked for about 5 minutes or so, rinse
them with warm water.
Reshape the brushes and lay them on a towel to dry.
The End.
P.S. Your skin says thank you :)
