KitchenIQ. I received promotional items to thank me for my participation.”
The right tools can make all of the difference and be a huge time saver in the kitchen,
so obviously I am a big fan of kitchen gadgets! I was recently given the opportunity to
try and share a few products from KitchenIQ. KitchenIQ offers innovative, quality
products that are super smart for your kitchen!
I don't know about you, but all of my knives were in dire need of a good sharpening
so I was super excited to try the Edge Grip Knife Sharpener. It's unique design
sharpens straight edge knives and I love the compact size! The edge grip bottom keeps
it stable while sharpening knives right on your kitchen counter top. My knives were
so happy to be sharp again!

I shared some kitchen tips and an easy, healthy recipe with my daughter and a few of
her friends from college. They are all college seniors and will be out on their own
soon, so introducing them to time saving techniques in the kitchen was fun.
Some of them love to cook, while others are just learning so we had a blast trying out
all of the products.
I loved watching them try to figure out how to use the KitchenIQ Better Zester!
The Better Zester features a stainless steel v-etched blade, great for zesting all types of
citrus. The girls were so excited when I told them they each got to take one home to
their college apartments! They don't own many kitchen gadgets, so this made their day.

One of my favorite features of the Better Zester is the fresh zest container which
includes measurements so you know how much zest you have for your recipe!
The zester cleans so easily and it's dishwasher safe too.
The third product KitchenIQ shared with me is the Potato 3-in-1 Peeling Tool.
This is the tool that will get the most use in my kitchen! I make oven roasted vegetables
several times each week and this little gadget scrubs, peels and it has paring knife
inside the peeler handle! The soft grip, non-slip handle makes cleaning and peeling a breeze!

I make oven baked sweet potato fries at least once a week and the recipe is in the KitchenIQ
recipe booklet, so I thought it was a perfect recipe to teach the girls. They couldn't
believe how easy they were to make and how delicious they are! Oven Baked Sweet Potato
Fries will be an easy weeknight side to make in their little apartment kitchens.

Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries
2 lbs. sweet potatoes (about 3 large), peeled
1/4 C olive oil or other vegetable oil
1 T salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
sprinkling of freshly cracked black pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Peel the potatoes and cut them in half lengthwise, then cut each half
in thirds lengthwise. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet with the
olive oil, salt, pepper and paprika. With clean hands, toss all of the
ingredients together, making sure each slice is covered with oil.
Spread the potatoes in a single layer. Do not overcrowd them.
Bake 18 - 20 minutes or until tender and golden brown. Cool a
few minutes before serving.
Serves 4.
Enjoy!
