buttermilk pancakes in my Mother's Day brunch post?
Aren't they cute!
A few people have asked me where I got them, so I thought I would write a
little post about them. I pinned the idea last year from The View from Great Island.

hundreds of beads from Michael's. After making a few necklaces and bracelets for
myself and a some family members, jewelry making got old and I moved onto the next
thing. I never could bring myself to get rid of them and now I'm glad I didn't!
I've made quite a few cupcake toppers and food picks with washi tape, but I thought
beaded food picks would be super cute too!

DIY beaded cocktail picks are so easy to make. All you need are beads, toothpicks and glue!
I used regular craft glue because I already had it in my office and it worked fine. The trick
is using beads that fit right onto the toothpick. I simply dipped the end of a toothpick into
glue and slid a bead on top. If there was room, I added another bead on top of that one.
Floral foam worked great to hold them while they dried.
I think they are super cute for hors d'oeuvres, cupcakes and silver dollar pancakes!
