that came in a big box filled with long plastic tubes of colored sugar water?? They
probably weren't the healthiest treats to have around, but boy were they good on a
hot summer day!
While shopping at our local food co-op I discovered Zipzicles and I just had to buy them!
Zipzicles are freezable plastic tubes with a zip-lock top, perfect for making your own
freezer ice pops!
Since this was my first time using Zipzicles and I had a refrigerator full of watermelon,
I decided to keep things simple and blend watermelon with a little honey for added
sweetness. They were delicious and so refreshing! I love how you can make your
own healthy treats by blending real fruit instead of using color-dyed sugar water!
I can't wait to experiment with different fruit options! Next time I may freeze leftover
smoothie too!

Homemade Watermelon Ice Pops
4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
1 T honey
Place watermelon and honey into a blender and blend until liquid and
no cubes remain. Using a small funnel, fill Zipzicle tubes with pureed
watermelon. Lay them flat on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
and place it in the freezer for several hours or until frozen solid.
Enjoy on a nice hot summer day!
