Clementine Protein Smoothie Bowl
It seems as though I've been living off of soup and smoothies this year.
Maybe because I've been making them both so much!
I have really been committed to eating healthy and losing a few pounds this year and I
have been successful so far. I have eliminated as many processed foods as I can from my
diet. I've been enjoying healthy granola, no-bake energy balls and lots of soup!!
I've pinned lots of healthy recipes on my Healthy Eats board that I can't wait to try!
As I mentioned, I've been making a ton of smoothies! I love experimenting with new
smoothie combinations, so I froze a few Halo clementines, just like I freeze banana slices
and came up with this clementine protein smoothie bowl. It was delicious! I don't like
my smoothies too sweet, so I don't add any additional sweeteners besides fruit. Feel free
to add a little honey if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.
Clementine Protein Smoothie Bowl
1/2 banana, frozen
1/2 C frozen clementine sections
2 tsp. ground flax seed
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Bob's Red Mill)
1 C unsweetened almond milk
Combine ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Top with fruit, coconut flakes, chia and nuts if desired
Serves one.
Enjoy!
