Spring is here and I am loving all of the fresh greens and berries that are available.
It's so fun to browse around the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning and come home
with fresh fruit and veggies to make into something delicious.
It's important to store those fresh fruits and vegetables properly to prevent them from
spoiling too soon. No one likes to open the refrigerator crisper drawer to find rotten,
smelly vegetables! Produce is way to expensive to toss out! Did you know that
Americans waste $24 billion worth of produce every year - that's crazy!
For the past couple of weeks I have been using the Rubbermaid FreshWorks™ Produce
Savers to store my berries and vegetables. The produce savers are available in three
sizes, small (2.5 cups), medium (6.3 cups), and large (17.3 cups). The smallest
container is perfect for raspberries and blueberries, while the larger ones work well
for strawberries and leafy greens.
Rubbermaid FreshWorks™ Produce Savers use Freshvent™ technology, keeping produce
fresher up to 80% longer. You've got to love that! The crisp tray elevates produce away
from moisture so that they get proper airflow and don't spoil too soon.
The produce saver containers are BPA-free, made of non-toxic plastics and are microwave
and top shelf dishwasher safe.
The blueberries in the small produce saver have been there for six days and still look as
good as the day I bought them. I especially love the large container for spring mix and
spinach. The FreshWorks™ Produce Savers keep the greens fresh so much longer than
the containers that they come in at the grocery store. They stack well in the fridge too!
FreshWorks™ Produce Savers all of the time!

Based on strawberries in FreshWorks™ containers vs. store packaging.
Results may vary depending upon produce and use.
