Thanks to a work conference in Orlando earlier this month, I was able to attend Mickey's
Not So Scary Halloween Party for the first time ever. Visiting Walt Disney World in the
fall and being able to go to this special ticketed event, has been on my bucket list for a
while and I was so happy that it all came together! We love Disney!
One of my blogging friends said that Florida in the fall is like summer, but with pumpkins,
and she was right! Besides a little rain late in the afternoon, the weather was perfect.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party starts at 7:00 p.m., but you allowed to go into
the park at 4:00, which I definitely recommend because the lines can get long and you
don't want to waste any party time!
During the party there are special Disney Halloween treats that aren't available other times.
I just couldn't resist the Maleficent Cone from Storybook Treats in Fantasyland. The lime
soft serve with chocolate horns was so light and refreshing. I was actually surprised that
it tasted as good as it did.
I also couldn't resist taking a pic in front of the famous galactic purple wall, located in
Tomorrowland.
One of the highlights of the night was the Hocus Locus Villain Spelltacular. The show
was amazing and so fun! Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade is another must see.
The parade times are 9:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. We went to the earlier parade because I
had heard from other bloggers that depending upon the weather, sometimes the second
parade could get cancelled and we didn't want to miss it.
During the party you can actually go trick-or-treating around the park. There are six
stations set up throughout the Magic Kingdom and they give you so much candy!
Don't worry about bringing a bag with you. Disney takes care of everything! They give
out free trick-or-treat bags when you enter the party and it will be full by the end of
the night!
Some of the rides are enhanced with Halloween fun just for the party. Beware though,
the lines can get pretty long, especially for the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain.
We had such a fun night and I'm so glad we were able to experience Disney in October.
The decorations were beautiful and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was well
worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat! We love Disney so much!!
By the way - did you notice on my Instagram that Le Creuset just launched a new
Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary 2-quart Dutch Oven! The Mickey Mouse Dutch Oven
pictured is the 4.5 quart and I just love them both! The quality is amazing and their
products last forever. The Disney Collection is available at Williams Sonoma and
on the Le Creuset website. If you're a Disney fan like me - you'll want the entire
collection!!
