Hey friends! Since Thanksgiving is only a little over a week away, I thought I would
share a quick and easy apple cinnamon puff pastry tart that I made last year. I actually
made it twice in one week because it was so good!
This recipe is super simple (just how I like them) and perfect for this time of year.
It looks beautiful on a dessert buffet and if there are any leftovers - it makes for a
nice breakfast too!
Enjoy!
Easiest Apple Cinnamon Puff Pastry
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 large egg + 1 tsp. water
1 large apple, very thinly sliced
caramel for serving, if desired
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small bowl, whisk sugar, cinnamon
and salt.
Place the puff pastry onto parchment paper. Whisk together egg and water and then
brush it all over the puff pastry. Sprinkle a few tablespoons of the cinnamon sugar
all over the puff pastry. Place apple slices on top, arranging them however you like.
Sprinkle a little more cinnamon sugar over the apples.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and puffed. Remove from oven and cut into
squares. Serve immediately. Drizzle caramel over slices, if desired.
